I thought it was okay, it really didn't  in my opinion. I wouldn't say it sucked but it wasn't good either. The structure and wrighting was just not the plot.

Author's Response:

Ah, can't lie, this is far from my favourite story as well. I had an idea and I didn't quite manage to execute it, alas alack woe etc. Glad to hear the structure was sufferable and hey, it was good practise for Wash's internal voice, so there's always that! Cheers for the honesty.

AYWSHFUYWH. I do hope you continue to make more fics! They make me all fangirly for Wash and so far I've loved how you've captured everyone. You know, I think I might actually have to step up my game with my own stuff, you could give me some competion. XD (Which is a good thing! More awesome fics to go around!)

Author's Response:

Pff, competition. Why compete when we could ally forces? Together, we could rule the world internet fanbase box canyon in the middle of nowhere ...well, I'm sure we could manage to rule something.

(Though far be it from me to argue against anything that has you writing more tales.)

Thank ye for the review(s)! They mean a lot to a budding ficcer.

Yep, Sarge can be very straight-forward in his work--when he wants to be.

Just wanted to say that (even though you talk too much, haha) you have really great style, well fleshed-out and entertaining without getting verbose. I know people say "Oh, you write so-and-so perfectly" to other authors all the time in reviews, but I hope you know I genuinely mean it when I say I think your interpretation of Wash is as close to spot-on as it gets--at the very least, the best I've seen. Your Sarge-logic is top notch, too, heh.

(And, eh heh heh, I wonder if those 'disturbing things' have to do with something Simmons dredged up from a certain computer.)

Author's Response:

This is my cue to shuffle my feet and duck my head and mumble that sometimes I write the explanations before the actual stories. It's probably an act of cruelty to drop clumps of brainstorming on unsuspecting readers, but I can't seem to break the habit.

But thank you very much, unsuspecting reader! I too genuinely mean it when I say it's very warm-fuzzying - not to mention relieving - to hear Wash sounds...er, well, more or less like Wash. I like him far too much to want to be responsible for producing something more akin to a Caboosification, and playing with his particular brand of flat sarcasm is the guiltiest of guilty pleasures. I appreciate the encouragement muchly.

(And goddammit they told him those records were going to be held in the utmost confidentiality! Hacked internally by someone who freezes and squeaks "pineapple!" under test conditions is not utmost!)
